There's no adjustment to center the needles (AFAIK).  You have to align the 
jets 
  to the needles.  There is a cheap kit (approx. $20) that Moss sells that is 
worth the money just for the brass jet aligning 'drifts.'

If your needles were worn at the top, your jets might be too.
