I'm rebuilding a BN1 Gearbox and have found that the reverse check plunger
(detent plunger) spring part number 2K4909 is missing.
I can't imagine how anyone could drive a BN1 without that check plunger
working but that is a different matter!!
I have found a spring amongst my pile of compression springs which seems to
fit onto the plunger correctly but I have no way of confirming that it is
the correct spring which seems to be unique to this application.
It has a free length of 1.1", 12 turns of 0.058" wire and an OD of 0.313".
Does anyone have a BN1 box apart and can confirm that I have the correct
spring.
