Being non-essential can be highly stressful.=20

----- Original Message -----

I presume the tapped thread hole is stripped. You can use a helicoil to rep=
air that.=20
You say it is a non essential bolt, but it can be high stressed?????????=20

I have stripped a non-essential bolt in the frame and want to replace it on=
my BJ8. I really don=E2=80=99t want to drill it out, re-tap it and use a l=
arger bolt for visual reasons. I don=E2=80=99t have access to a welding mac=
hine (probably a good thing). Is there a way to re-fill the hole and tap it=
to the correct size? There could be a lot of stress on the bolt.=20
