Bob, Another great sealant is Hylomar that is oil and fuel resistant. The
success of Hylomar is to let it dry for about and hour so it becomes very thick
and sticky. It doesn't need to be put on very thick. The method I use is
apply it with an acid brush by putting a dab on the flat side of the brush and
patting it on the sealing surfaces of the gasket or the hard surfaces that are
most convenient to access. You do have to let it dry in open air to be most
effective. You want a stippling effect after you finish application. After
the initial torquing of the fasteners, re-torque them again in an hour or so as
some of the Hylomar will squeeze out.

Listers,We have a small problem with our BN2: we can't get the sender unitto
completely seal against the tank. We've tried all types of materials;inc. the
Moss rubber-like gasket, paper gasket material, cork, etc. This isa new tank
and the flange around the opening isn't as robust as on an originaltank, and
the flange on the sender has been warped somewhat, probably byover-tightening.
The best result has been from a cork gasket my dadfabricated, but it still
seeps a little with a full
tank.Anysuggestions?TIA,Bob_______________________________________________SupportTeam.Net
