Thanks for all the replies. I think that, given the texture of the crud I c=
leaned out of the channels,=C2=A0 I'll try them dry...maybe with a bit of s=
ilicone spray lubricant to get them started.

It has been my experience that grease on the slides quickly mixes with grit=
and dust which turns it into grinding paste which in turn wears away the n=
ylon guides.
