I must be missing something here as I cannot understand why anyone would =
want to use the grades of oil being mentioned.

Let=E2=80=99s face it, no matter how finely we rebuild the engines of =
our Austin-Healeys they remain an a design of 1950s or earlier. =
Therefore any lubricant used should be designed for that age of design. =
Okay I know that lubricants have improved dramatically, but have a look =
at the recommendations in the handbook.

No way should you use oils designed for modern cars. Have a look around =
as there are a number of companies around the world that cater for our =
cars. I use Penrite which is either made here in Australia or in the UK.
