Gotta ask, why not put the cap on the backside of the gauge? If you have ga=

I totally agree with Michael. The adding of capacitance ( and the possibili=
ty of a discharge) to a mixture of gasoline vapors could=20
be a bad situation. I am involved in getting our company=E2=80=99s instrume=
nts rated to operate in a hazardous environment ( gas mixtures=20
in air) and it does not take much of a spark to ignite a mixture of gas and=
 air.=20
