Remember you do not want a lot of pressure. You are only trying to =
return the fast idle part of the choke. The jets already have a spring =
inside the carb body.
If you make it to tight you will have a problem pulling the choke.

Seems to be equally split between both types of springs. Thanks for the =
replies. I think I will go with the spring that extends down vs the one =
over the choke cable. Mainly because it's a pain to switch out to dial =
in the correct tension. The external springs are easier to move or =
replace. Thanks all.
