I run .030 on both Healeys =E2=80=93 both cars have sports coils =
installed, the tri-carb has a Pertronix, the BJ8 a 123 ignition =
(cleverly installed in a Lucas distributor body).  It=E2=80=99s not so =
much the =E2=80=98switch=E2=80=99 =E2=80=93 points or one of the =
electronic ignitions that should determine the plug gap, but the coil =
output needed to fire across that gap.  With a standard coil, I would =
stay at .025 as recommended, regardless if the type of ignition used.

Have heard somewhere, possibly Pertronix, that you can increase the =
nominal gap by 0.005" with a Pertronix Ignitor.  I went conservative; I =
think 0.030 would work with a good coil and secondary wiring.
