I have encountered that issue few times. I make sure that pin and the =
inside of the hole are clean free of any grease, then I usually find a =
way to gently lever down (or up =E2=80=93 I can=E2=80=99t recall) on the =
tie rod to =E2=80=9Cjam=E2=80=9D the pin into the hole. I have found =
that I can generate enough friction so that I can tighten the nut. =
Never done a BN2 though, so not sure if it can be done that way.

I am installing the steering in my BN2, basically the same as all =
big Healeys. Tonight I installed the idler unit. Then I tried =
connecting the tie rod between the tie rod and the wheel. I started to =
tighten the nyloc nut that comes with today's tie rods and I find the =
pin out of the ball joint started turning with the nut long before it =
was tight. I don't find any flats anywhere to stop it from spinning. =
How is this done?
