Hi Bruce,

Your quote from Anderson and Moment is correct but their description is =
contradicted by the faces of my speedo and tach. In my BN7 the tach has =
printed on the face above the red colored lens =
=E2=80=9CIgnition=E2=80=9D and the speedo has printed above the blue =
light =E2=80=9C High Beam=E2=80=9D. Foreign Speedo put a red lens into =
my speedo but after reviewing the feed back here and other sites I =
decided to put the blue lens into the High Beam on the speedo and the =
red lens in the Ignition warning light on the tach..=20

After 15 years of driving my car without any colored lens I am happy to =
see color now.

Thanks to everyone for the advise and information.

Hi, Ron. According to Anderson and Moment, pg. 104, =E2=80=9COn the =
right was the tachometer with a number on the face indicating the ratio, =
and incorporating the red (emphasis mine) high-beam warning =
light.=E2=80=9D Based on this, I used a red lens (a piece of stage =
light gel) when I had mine apart.

Subject: [Healeys] High beam warning light color

=20

I need some help with the proper color for the high beam warning light =
in my =E2=80=9861 BN7.

=20

The 2004 Originality Guide (page 9) says that cars destined for =
=E2=80=9Ccontinental export=E2=80=9D had blue warning lights for the =
high beam and red for the ignition warning light. My car was shipped =
directly to California for sale by a dealer here. Is that considered =
=E2=80=9Ccontinental export=E2=80=9D?

=20

I just had my speedo repaired by Foreign Speedo. The little colored =
lens for the high beam warning light was missing since I bought the car. =
Preston told me they discovered a red lens inside and he reinstalled =
it. =20

=20

So, I am wondering if it should be blue or red? Since I have the gages =
out, now would be the time to make it right if I can find out what is =
right.

=20

Any help would be appreciated.

=20

Thanks
