As explained in an article by the late Rich Chrysler, there are no straight=
lines on an Austin Healey. The correct rocker panels will have a very subt=
le compound curve which bows slightly to the outside of the body and also d=
roops a bit under the doors. These must be made in a press. Many after mark=
et rockers are produced on a brake, which can only give a straight fold. Th=
ese parts mar the symmetry of the intended body line. If you have ever seen=
a car that just had something wrong either the look of the lower body it p=
robably had the straight rockers installed. I don=92t know anything about t=
he Moss part, but I know the KAS part is correct.

Can anyone please tell me if the Kilmartin rocker panels for the BJ8 are wo=
rth three times as much as those from Moss?
I have to declare that I have had Kilmartin stuff before, and whilst good, =
it's not been perfect!
