[Healeys] Clutch bearing

About to replace the clutch in my daily driver BJ7. The clutch has lasted 
nearly 20 years but I am on my third throw out bearing/bush. In the past I have 
heated the bush and soaked in oil for 24hrs before installing. 
 Do you guys think this makes any difference to bush life or have any other 
suggestions. I do a fair bit of driving in stop start traffic so the bush gets 
a lot of work.
