Simon,You seem to be close to a water tight seal if you only have one leak =
& it took 10 minutes to get inside.I would consider replacing the seal you =
made out of an inner tube. That rubber is not very compressible. Try to fin=
d a thin (like the inner tube rubber) & spongy rubber strip.Gary Hodson

 the seal.=C2=A0 I am not sure what the original seal looked like, so I got=
 a couple of candidate replacements from a local English Car trimmer and ex=
perimented.=C2=A0 It is tricky, as I found that most of the seal profiles m=
ade is very hard to get the top bow on and clamped down, but I eventually f=
ound a thin, rectangular section seal that worked.=C2=A0 I have yet to test=
 in the rain, but I have high expectations. =C2=A0Also, make sure the leak =
is between the top bow and the frame, not between the frame and the glass.=
=C2=A0 As tops age they shrink slightly and get very tight and when up can =
