I should have known that just as you can't
violate the rules of physics, you can't violate
the rules of racing. I mean, whoever heard of a
racecar being ready two weeks before race day??
I think the rule goes something like: "No race
car can be ready to race until after sunset of
the night prior to the race." I should have
known something was wrong when I delcared it
ready two weeks ahead of that! I went to pick it
up at the front end shop and they couldn't align
it - lower right control arm is bent! Then, to
make things better, when I call the renowned
Camaro supply house, they groan when I tell them
what I want. Seems like there are no
aftermarkets available for '67-'69 model years.
They are scarce as hen's teeth and bring about
$300 bucks a piece if and when you find one! I
am now frantically searching the internet for a
lower right control arm for a '68 Camaro. If I
don't find one real soon - - it'll be no racing
for me this year!
