I picked my first car cause I wanted to go 200 MPH and I thought a comp
coupe would be the best way to do that. I wasnt disapointed as we went 201
MPH, with an old 283, the first year out. It later set 8 records on the salt
and 10 more at Maxton. Have built several cars since for various
experimental reasons, but mainly to go faster than someone else in that
class.
My big goal is to go 300 MPH in a doorslammer. Joe Timney, Lionel
Williams and I have been working on that project for two years now.
Hopefully 2002 will be our testing season with some small motors. Our team
also has a /GT and an /ALT being built. Should be an interesting season.
