Wes;

Arizona did try Daylight Savings Time for a while but that experiment was a
nightmare.

If one were to drive across northern AZ during that period, here's what
you'd face:

Cross CA state line into AZ: change time zones-- reset your watch.

Enter Navajo Reservation: change back to Standard Time-- reset your watch.

Enter Hopi Reservation: change to Daylight Savings Time-- reset your watch.
(If Navajos do something, Hopis do the opposite!)

Enter Navajo Reservation again: change back to Standard Time-- reset your
watch.

Leave Navajo Reservation: change back to Daylight Savings Time-- reset your
watch.

Cross AZ state line into NM: change time zones-- reset your watch.

You could wear out a Timex just driving around AZ! Fortunately, we don't use
anything but MST now.

Regards, Neil Tucson, AZ

This isn't for Glen, who doesn't like to time things for longer than a few
seconds.

A reminder to set your clock ahead and the most accurate time available.

Now for Howard, Ed, Dale and the rest of you in the maverick state of
Arizona that doesn't change to "Daylight Dummy" time ... at least you now
can have the correct time.
