This is the lesson ... Everything else was an observation in my mind...

Engines are combinations and parts are good parts when they fit the application
and have no value at all individually."

The cheapest way to fix this engine is to get a set of pistons and a crankshaft.
make it a 370 or a 410 with the old bigger cam and you might have a
player..Along with a new intake manifold no matter what.
