Very roughly, you have to remove one BTU from a cubic foot of air to
drop it one degree F. You get cubic feet by multiplying displacement,
rpm/2, volumetric efficiency and time. Don't remember, off hand, how
many BTUs it takes to melt a pound of ice but I'm sure it is in a
reference book around here somewhere. What do you think your entering
air (into the intercooler) temp will be and how much do you think you
can drop it?
