This is not a direct answer to your seat question Keith, but.... I needed a
seat for the new comp coupe. Can't buy one as the interior dimensions won't
allow standard seats. So I started with some plywood. Cobbled something up I
thought would fit. Put on my helmet and climbed in. Nope didn't get it on the
first try either. But two more attempts and it worked out just fine. Measured
the angles on the wood and build a rather comfortable metal seat.
Could It be made more comfortable? I don't think so from a position stand
point. But maybe if I can figure out how to place some foam around my legs and
duplicate the actual contour of my back it might be better. The problem that
then arises is putting other people in the seat. And yes this car is built to
be driven by more than one person.
There is a company that make padding for drag racing seats (Master Blaster
Products, 800-809-4630) and I may just try one of their 1/2" thick pads for
comfort.

book this year.... something bout maximum of one inch of foam in the seat
