Personally,

I think your timing is off. Hense ignition timing, plug wire routing and
like chris harris said check cap for cracked. With vehicle parked do a power
brake bring rpm up to 2500 is it missing under load, do it again after a
wet soak does that change anything? If vehicle just lacks power running I
would double check timing issues assuming everything else on the mechanical
side is fine.. Like Joe said I thought there was a plug or jumper to bypass
msd box. May be able to eliminate the problem or not be a factor.
