Hello List,
After a long hiatus of being off the lurker list, I have subscribed again. I
have enjoyed listening to many great technical conversations and have learned
a great deal from them. There's also some other stuff I've listened to, but
that's another story.
After running in the road race and clocking off at 152 on a 160 tech speed, I
was at the salt last fall with the car ready to go but the water level made it
obvious that it wasn't going to happen. I headed back home.
I am planning on getting my ratty looking big block vette out on the salt in a
few weeks. However, I am limited by the racing suit I have. Mine is a SFI-5
suit. Nice, clean, fits well (just a bit tight in the middle because of
shrinkage) but not enough to let me go over 175.
I imagine most of my runs will be leading up to a couple over 175. So my
existing suit will do for much of the time. However, if anyone on the list
knows of an even somewhat decent used -15 suit for sale I am interested (size
large.) I would appreciate a mail. I just can't see coughing up the money
for a new one right now. With the new shop addition I'm lucky to even get to
the salt this year. I'm a Minnesota boy and it's time to get ready for
winter.
