Keith is right. You need to place yourself in the vehicle in your fire suit and 
make the SFI tag does not end up under the roller of the adjuster. If you are 
having your old belts rewebbed and they do not have the problem just request 
that the SFI tags are placed in the same spot on the new ones. If you are 
purchasing new and the are especially for your application and not "off the 
shelf"  just tell the manufacturer in your request letter where you want the 
tags.Good luck.

Rick my understanding of this is that the tag can't be under the roller in 
the adjustment mechanism....  what they are trying to prevent is a double 
layer under the cinching point which might allow the roller to slip and 
loose it's adjustment.
