If anyone wants to know what it cost to run an INDY car in 1925 I have an
itemized bill for the expences involved for running a Miller on the board track
in Altoonah, Pa. Everything is listed from freight by train, parts & repairs,
even "Fruit & Lunch for pits". .........Take some time and guess what that
would cost. The team manager had to present this invoice to the owner several
times and it was finally paid by the new owner of the Miller. Rental car for 5
days and truck delivery to the track was another entry. Top line racing in 1925
for $103.99. Bob in connecticut
