The consensus is unplated brass for the shoulder using a replacement of
stainless steel for the tube.

But again I ask: What is a source for the tube?

And Bob. I would be interested in a worm with the lower ratio (for a
PB). And needless to say, a matching peg.

Lew Palmer

Hi Tom,
I am investigating having some new Bishop Cam steering box worms
manufactured. Any interst out there for either the 8 to 1 TA ratio or
11 to
1 TC ratio?

Lew,

My PB with the BC box has the casting in natural brass. It had no
evidence
of ever being plated.

Regarding the chrome tube... I like using polished stainless when
replacing this tube. Looks very close to the cheap original flash chrome
(directly on the steel with no nickel) but is much more durable and far
less
expensive than the chrome shop.
