Lawrie,

Good pressure. When my J2 engine was fresh, I routinely got 80 PSI, but
that's about the maximum you should run. Otherwise bearings can get eaten
up.

Cheers,
Lew Palmer

Subject: PA oil pressure

Folks,

I've just cranked over my Mike-Allison-rebuilt PA engine for the first time,
after filling the sump with Castrol HD30. My oil pressure gauge tells me I
get
78 psi cranking with the plugs out. This seems a bit high to me but I would
appreciate any comments.

TIA

Lawrie Alexander
