Hello all,
If you are going to, or are in, the southern UK around Stratford on Avon I
would like to direct you to a great pub...The Golden Cross.
Take the B489 out of Stratford toward Binton and, passing the Binton turn,
go right on the Wixford turning The Pub will be on the right at a 4 way
intersection. The address is: Wixford Rd., Ardens Grafton (near
Bidford-on-Avon) Tel:(01789)772420......ask for Roger Vardy-Smith and tell
him that he is on the net.
Roger is a super MG enthusiast with a very nice MGC (Downton engine) and his
pride and joy....his pre-war MG 1.5 . Grab a pint of Old Speckled Hen, and
have a nice chat with Roger, a truly nice guy!!
His Pub is very nice indeed, and serves a really super dinner at a very
reasonable price.
Oh...and ask him to show you his cars!!
The local MG Club meets there weekly, as well as the Octagon Club......I
believe it is on Tues, but I could be wrong.
Anyway, if you are down that way, drop in!!!!!!
Let the wife tour Ragley Hall during the day, which is nearby, while you
talk MG's.
