How do I gain access to the gears in the curved faced (not flat) type
speedometer of my TD? The odometer portion has failed (won't move).

The trip gauge and speed are accurate. The speedometer was sent twice to
NISONGER for rebuild and recalibration. I was very satisfied with the
recalibration, but three months later I had to send it back (still within
the one year warranty) to have the trip gauge fixed. The one year has
expired and now the odometer (accumulative mileage) portion has failed. I am
hoping I can locate just a worn gear and order it (not sure where yet).

I have taken the glass off the front and removed the two screws on the back
that secure the guts to the case. However, the extended vertical trip reset
knob prevents removal of the inner works (guts). How do I remove the trip
reset knob? Once this is done, it appears the "guts" can be removed.

Thanks
