Doug,
The earth strap comes off of the bolt at the 9 o'clock position. The
other end attaches to the rear inboard bolt that holds the left upright
on the frame that the scuttle bolts to. See my article on ground point
preparation at:
http://www.omgtr.ca/technical/General_Technical/grounding.htm to insure
a good connection to ground (earth).
