Bill,
The holes would be on the back side (front?) of the inner dash, righ
about dead center. Such that the bracket points down and the resulting
bottom leg of the "L" points to the front of the car. It is a most
convenient location when the switch get to the point where it doesn't
stay on in that the passenger can hold it on until the turn is made
(isn't that what was meant by self canceling? no effort on the part of
the driver).
