Hi: I like too use light springs, in place of the valve springs,to check
valve to piston clearance. Setup a dial indicator on the retainer and
push the spring down with your thumb,when the piston is close. Kids Play-
Dough Clay is often used too, place a lump of clay on a DRY piston,oil the
valves lightly and rotate the engine, cut the clay in half and measure the
thickness.
The last issue of the newsletter had a listing of common cam grinds
anyone like to comment ?
