I would gladly push the envelope for the good of the list, if the list would
be good enough to send some envelopes full of cash to push it with.
Otherwise it will probably have to wait until after I graduate.

All,
    I've seen pulled LS-1 engines go from $1200 to $4000 depending on 
mileage, etc.
    Northstars go for $600 to $5000 depending on size, year and condition.
The northstar will take the Chevy S-10 bellhousing.  Yes, it's a Caddy 
V-8 that takes the Chevy V-6 bolt pattern.  I read that one of the holes 
has to be plugged and moved, and the starter is in a different place, 
but it appears to be no more than an afternoon's work for a hobbyist.  
Awhile back, I made contact with a fellow who is arguably the best 
machinist/tuner for the Northstar, and asked him about work on a 
Northstar/MG/Triumph project.  He seemed interested and friendly.  I can 
put you in contact with him if  anyone is interested.
I encourage someone out there to push the envelope!!!
