Hi all... I've been pondering something for a couple days and I though you
all may have some input\wisdom. I was just considering the back end work on
my 79 B conversion\rebuild and was investigating the design of the factory
anti-sway bar. Based upon it's engineering and my understanding of the
traction bar, wouldn't the stock rear anit-sway bar effectively combat the
wind-up of the rear springs? Are people only using traction bars on pre-77
cars with no sway bar? Are the stock sway bars typically removed for some
reason which would require the fitting of a traction bar?

Am I missing something obvious? I just don't see how the sping can wind up
when the sway bar is mounted to the body and the axle tube with no way for the
axle to move other than in the arc of the sway bar arm which would be the same
as the traction bar. No???

Thanks!
