The original "sports" exhaust for the Midget had two pipes, one from the
siamesed middle exhaust port and the other pipe from the outer pair. It
apparently gave a worthwhile increase in the performance, a matter of
months after it was launched the long centre branch manifolds became
available which gave at least the same performance but using a single pipe
system.
