Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me information. For those who
are interested, I have now confirmed with EPA that any car more
than 21-years-old does not have to meet any emmissions
requirements. DOT's recording says that any car over 25 years
does not have to meet any safety requirements. The January 1,
1968 cut-off date no longer applies. I still have a couple of
questions:
1. Can anyone recommend a transporter/importer? I've seen some
ads, but some references would really help my confidence. I
think that I will go with roll-on, roll-off for cost reasons.
2. Does anyone know if Virginia has any screwy rules about
titling an import car?
