Further to Dave's message there are at present no plans to make a left
hooker version of the MGF.
There was a one make race series planned for the F in New Zealand and
Japan, however the Japanese one seems to be in doubt. Apparently a couple
of European countries were also interested in running the series, but why
do that when it's not going to be available in left hand drive???? Perhaps
they know something we don't!
Having just read Will Zehring's note, the car comfortably passes all
European safety standards, including the ones due in the next couple of
years. Drivers airbag is standard, passenges is optional on 1.8i standard
on VVC. All cars have seatbelt pretensioners.
Cost is 15995UKP for 1.8i and 17995 for the VVC.
Ther has also been talk of re-establishing the Austin Healey name for a
new, larger sportscar tailored for the US market
Don't you think the Lotus Elise looks a bit like a GT40 front end that
shrank in the wash?
