Hi, guys. I've kinda been wondering: Why does my bone-stock HIF carbed '74 idle slightly higher after a run? Hot start yields 1000 rpm, decel to idle from a run yields ~1300 rpm. Might it have something to do with my suspicion of a worn-out gulp valve combined with slightly rich carbs? -- Todd "But it runs great" Mullins todd@nutria.nrlssc.navy.mil On the lovely Mississippi (USA) Coast '74 MGB Tourer which is hardly ever idle, actually "A life lived in fear is a life half lived." |
