I'll bet you that the vin on your gt is lower than the vin on your friend's 
tourer and that the addition of buls* occured between the manufacture of 
your two cars.  In the back of my mind (where there is very little light) I 
wondered if it wasn't close to the 67-68 junction (where many changes other 
were instituted-- none of much consequence).
