The rear wheel bearings in a B are lubricated by the 90 weight in the diff
not by bearing grease like in the front. The bearings are also made with 1/2
inch ball bearings not little cylinders and rarely die. If you think it's
running dry check the level of oil in the diff. It should be up to the
filler plug. Perhaps your seal is bad and your leaking oul into the drum
which is causing the burning smell. Your slave brake cylinder could be
frozen, does the wheel spin freely? When you take it all apart, if it looks
wet or gooey. Spray it with water. Brake fluid will wash off, oil will not.

I can't tell you what to expect, BUT, I will tell you not to put
this off!!!!!! If it's a wheel bearing and its becoming dry, look out
if your driving when it becomes a minnie hacksawafter it freezes
up!!!!!!!! Check it out!!!!!! Just do what the books say and buy
a can of wheelbearing greese and start packing.
