Uprating Midget Brakes!

Hi all,

I'm the owner of a 79 Midget.

Over the past few months I have been steadily increasing the 
performance of the engine. The performance is now such that I need to 
think about increasing the braking capability of the car.

Does anyone know of any ways to improve the cars braking ability, 
other than fitting a servo?
