Price of Petrol

     Well, perhaps even Mr. Purkiss should consider himself lucky -- here 
     in Italy, petrol is 1750 Italian Lire per litre 
                         = 73 UK pence per litre
                         = about US$4 per US gallon!
     
     Diesel fuel however is much cheaper at only about US$3.3 per gallon.
     
     Anyone ever dropped a turbo-diesel engine in an MG ?
