Congratulations on the purchase!

Pick up an issue of Hemmings and look at the transporters and pick one =
based upon time and $.  This will be more, however, than what you will =
spend by flying down to Virginia with your wife, girl friend, =
significant other, etc., and spending a nice weekend in our nation's =
capital and environs, and then driving leisurely north...  The car is in =
excellent shape and should be fine for the trip.  Pick a 3 day weekend, =
or make one and do it.
