> Why did you replace the carb? I think I had 2 reasons: 1) At the time, it was my "year 'round" car and in cold weather the automatic choke was causing the plugs to foul on a pretty regular basis. I was always needing a ride to work. Also,I needed to carry around a socket and a wire brush or an extra set of plugs. So converting to SU's with a manual choke made my life easier. 2) The car has more zip with the SU's and, to me at least, feels more like an MG. |
