While restoration has come to a standstill now, because my right leg is
broken, I now have time to concentrate on a more theoretical part of my car
namely its history.

Car number GHD5UB239829G
Engine number 18GK13302 WE-H
Model MG B GT
Year 1971-2 (february)
Colour: BLVC25 = New Racing Green
Interior: Autumn Leaf Vinyl
No overdrive
Full USA spec.
Wire wheels (chrome)
Worn driver seat covers.

While cleaning up the car for the restoration I have found several
interesting materials:
golf balls and pins: the previous owner must have been a golf player
some bills from ships from Santa Barbara area.
matches driver probably waas a smoker
worn front struds / kingpins
master brake cylinder internal leakage to rear brakes.

The car has been exported from the USA Florida february 1990 and arrived in
Amsterdam in the next month.
I have purchased the car in May 1990.

Have anyone a clue what my cars history might be?
Looking to a sample of the British Heritage Trust birth certificate I do no
expect real news from the birth certificate of my car though...

The previous owners never have had a serious accident, only the front bumper
overrider on the left side has had a little impact and by this causing
minor damage to the plate whereon the oil cooler is mounted (ripple).

The gear lever knob was not original a Wallnut Crested type (Moss).
The engine had only different air filters (K&N's); the rest was
original.

Has anyone a clue who might be the previous owner?
Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Hans Duinhoven
