I think I was bitten by the roadster bug when I stayed at my aunt and
uncle's house for the summer. I was about 8, and my aunt had a brand new
white MGB with a cassette radio. It was the first time I rode in a
convertible, plus I was allowed to sit in the front seat! (for obvious
reasons). My aunt had a Beatles tape in the car, and during the 3 weeks I
stayed there she was not allowed to listen to anything but that one tape
("Baby you can drive my car..." - and I couldn't even understand the
lyrics since I didn't know english at the time). I'm sure she threw it
away right after I left.
I absolutely loved that roadster feeling and I still have a picture of me
wearing huge Aviator shades in the passenger seat...
