The long form:
==============
I purchased this car from the original owner in Colorado Springs about 12
years ago. It moved with me to Portland 8 years ago. 2 years ago some creeps
tried to steal it while it was sitting in the parking lot at work and
destroyed the ignition switch in the process. I push started the car and
drove it home. It has sat in the garage since that point.

If you're not familiar with the 74 1/2, it's the first rubber bumper and is
essentially a 75 body, a mixed bag of electrics, and 74 engine (i.e., dual SUs).

The chrome wires are the ones from India and add a lot to the looks. They
are of lower quality than, say, the Dunlop chrome wires.

Finding a replacement ignition switch has turned out to be a nontrivial
operation and so far I haven't located one. I cobbled an ignition switch
together that I thought should engage the starter without success. This
could be because I'm incompetent (likely) or there's something else wrong
with the car.

I really don't have the time or inclination to put into this car at this
point. If you're interested, give me a call.

Regards,

Mark
