This weekend I decided I would install the new Monza Exhaust system I
bought from TRF. The instructions say it should just replace the
standard system that was on my 75 MGB. What a surprise to find that
the Monza is about 18" longer than the old after-market system I had
on the car. Well I guess I will have to cut the header pipe 18"
shorter. The rear hanging bracket doesn't want to fit the car's
bracket either. It appears that the Monza bracket was not properly
formed to mate with the B's saddle type bracket.
I called the distributor of the Monza system and they said to reform
the bracket to fit. I'm not sure I can without making it too short
and having interference with the bumper.
Has anyone out there had any problems installing a Monza system on
their MGB? Any hints on how to install the system?
