Jay:

Should be little problem bypassing the heater. Core is easy, but getting the
heater box out is not. At least, it's not what I'd call 'intuitive'. Let me
know if you get that far, I may be able to offer some tips.

The heater's not an integral part of the B engine; bypass is pretty simple
and actually cheaper than purchasing that lower radiator hose with the 'Y' in
it. If you bypass the heater box itself, pull the return hose from the port
on the back of the head if you want an extra flow back there. Moss and Vicky
B sell a little blanking plate for this hose if you want to eliminate that
part of the circuit entirely. If you have an original Z-S carb with the water
hose running through it, it's a little trickier; temporarily cap off the
extension of the pipe that leads to the heater and, on this set-up, make sure
the heater valve is closed all the time. I'm unsure what effect, if any, this
has on water flow in the block (vis-a-vis the MGA engine as posted above).

Cheers,

Corey
