But it isn't a common language.

Yesterday I was with my brother from Canada.  He was driving and I asked
him when he parked the car with one wheel off the road  "Do you normally
park on the pavement?"

My niece replied "We always park on the pavement, but not on the sidewalk!"

What is common about that?
