Just got a flyer from Moss... They have soon offering a complete MGB =
body shell, with 68-74 specs (which I think means chrome bumpers) =
original press dies and assembly jigs were used and it comes complete =
with fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid, electrophoretically primed and =
sealed and all for the low, low price of $4,495.00 plus $500 for =
crating, and I presume shipping. So, for a mere $5,000+ you can have a =
rust free start to your dream car.
I presume, therefore, that if you bought this thing, added a new or =
rebuilt engine and transmission, and new suspension, seats, top, glass, =
chrome, etc., etc. and could restrain yourself, you could have a brand =
spanking new MGB for something in the mid teens. Of course you would =
need a wreck from which to obtain the manufacturing data and serial =
number so you could license it.
Pictures of this process keep running through my mind...... he, he, =
yeah, this could be an interesting project. If anyone decides to do it, =
I would like book and film rights....
